Envue is supporting an international contest established to
recognise the talent of those who capture Scotland’s stunning
landscape and wildlife by camera.
The inaugural Scottish Nature Photography Awards have already
attracted entries from home and abroad ahead of a closing date
of November 30, and will culminate in a 2011 touring exhibition
and portfolio yearbook featuring the top entries.
The winners of four set categories – Scottish Wildlife,
Scottish Landscape, Natural Abstract and Environmental – will be
revealed in March next year, with the overall winner declared
‘Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year’.
Envue Managing Director Stephen Lancaster says: “We’re very
pleased to be providing sponsorship for this fantastic project.
“There have been entries from photographers from all over the
world, showcasing not only their individual talent but the
unique Scottish landscape and wildlife.”
Niall Irvine of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards said:
“Photographers have long been drawn to and inspired by
Scotland's landscape and natural heritage, and these awards have
attracted a stunning standard of entries.
“In addition to an impressive array of prizes, the winning
photographic talent will be showcased from April 2011 in the
touring exhibition and portfolio yearbook.
"Those will be a great opportunity to make the awards
accessible to a wider audience and to raise the profiles of the
winning photographers.
“We are extremely grateful to Envue for its sponsorship of
the production of the portfolio yearbook and the engraved glass
awards for category winners."
